Welcome to the Run a CC Guide
This document is long, long overdue. It started life as a series of posts Bruce Mai made on behalf of the SLCG around the time of Costume-Con 16. As such, some of the information may be horribly out of date.
That said, it’s better than what we have at the moment.
The goal of this document is to provide a resource for Costume-Con conference committees (concoms) so that they can refer back to the contents for things they should know about how Costume-Cons are expected to run and how to make that happen in the easiest possible way, without reinventing the entire con every year.
Use the menu to the right to navigate the site. Each page will have comments available, for recommended changes (additions/deletions/corrections) and new pages can be added as needed.
Users here are one of the following, with varying levels of privilege:
- Administrators (we manage the backend and can add or remove members)
- Editors (we can write and edit the content on given pages)
- Subscribers (we can read what’s written, make comments on the content, and request a higher role)
